RESIDENCE (REQUIREMENTS TO BE RESIDENTS)

Those who want to apply for residency must submit a written project that involves the development and application in the territory.

Activities such as workshops, talks, interventions, cultural and social actions, research, aligned with the bases established in NODO are included.

NODE is interested in:

  • Projects that are developed in connection with what is there.
  • Practices that get involved with local issues, spaces and groups of people, with the possibility of moving to other contexts to continue their development.
  • New narratives and ways of thinking to be assembled on binaries like:

local/global, rural/urban, tradition/innovation, knowledge/intuition, human/non-human.

  • Ways of doing and researching that combine very simple actions with questions about the functioning of life.
  • Projects that unfold in various practices, learning workshops, rituals, walks and communal talks, discussion groups. Interacting with the medium to take the teaching of the Earth and transmit it in vital acts.
  • NODO embraces individual or collective projects from different languages ​​and fields of knowledge: theater, dance, performance, crafts, visual arts, cinema, photography, literature, music, bio architecture, ecology, astrology, education, permaculture, food, land use, new economies, medicine and alternative therapies, among other means. All those activities that have to do with life itself, and that invite the public to have common experiences in which the skin corroded by oblivion is pierced, to awaken intuition and the feeling of the nature of being.

ACCOMMODATION AND WORK SPACE:

Nodo offers an infrastructure specially designed to stay, work and share. It is a bioconstruction, made of thatch, with recycled and local materials, and sustainability concepts in its energy operation.

The house has a bedroom for one person or a couple. The atelier of 50 m2, with multiple possibilities, and an outdoor space to work.

Node helps with the organization of work, materials and contacts necessary for the development of the project.

Languages we handle: Spanish, English and Dutch.

Periodically, numerous groups and people from various disciplines participate, who share a passion for art and nature.

Together with the inhabitants of the territory and sustainable organizations, we created a network of alliances mobilized for cultural transformation through art.
